A photographer's life

A new dress doesn’t get you anywhere; it’s the life you’re living in the dress, and the sort of life you had lived before, and what you will do in it later.  Diana Vreeland

The same applies for the photographer:  It’s not only good equipment that makes you successful. It’s the knowledge operating it, people skills, how prepared you are, attention to detail and artistic flair.  When working with people, you are also touched by their emotions. Most of my work is an expression of who I am, my history, preferences and experiences.

I am always so impressed by the amazing choices of words and how well people can describe themselves and their career.  I sometimes think that they are ‘super human photographers’. (some of them are brilliant, Brett Florens and Linda Genis for example)

I am not so good with words, I shoot people for a living – I would rather have you viewing my site than reading my history, dreams, stories etc .!!

Postscript:  Work hard to improve your mind and body.  Nourish your spirit.  Do the things you fear.  Start to live with unbridled energy and limitless enthusiasm.  Watch the sun rise.  Dance in a rain shower.  Be the person you dream of being.  Do the things you have always wanted to do, but didn’t because you tricked yourself into believing that you were too old, too rich or too poor.  Prepare to live a soaring, fully alive life.  In the East, they say that luck favours the prepared mind.
